Emerson Centre’s Fifth Annual Jason Waltman Golf Tournament was a huge success.  Emerson Centre wants to thank all those who participated in the event as well as all of our generous sponsors.  This tournament would have not been a success without you!  We look forward to seeing everyone again next year!

Final results as well as the prizes awarded:

1st hole - Gary Green won a Fossil watch donated by National Jewelry.  His winning shot on the 1st hole was 19’7”.  Congratulations, Gary!

2nd hole - Dan McGuire won a $100 gift certificate donated by the Louisiana Tech Bookstore.  His winning shot on the second hole was 9”.  This shot was the closest ever on this hole, beating out the previous best of 4’7”. It was also the closest ever in the tournament, beating out the previous closest of 1’8”.  Congratulations, Dan!

3rd hole - Dan McGuire won a $100 gift card donated by O’Neal Feed & Garden.  His winning shot on the 3rd hole was 19’6”.  Congratulations, Dan!

4th hole- Jesse Smith won a $50 gift card donated by Today’s Reality.  His winning shot on the 4th hole was 6’11”.  Congratulations, Jesse!

5th hole - Chris Hughes won a $50 gift card donated by Terzia’s.  His winning shot on the fifth hole was 43’ from the hole.  Congratulations, Chris!

6th hole – No participant was able to hit a ball on the green for the 6th hole this year.  There is always next year!

7th hole - Rick Emerson receives a $50 gift card donated by Kappa Alpha Fraternity.  His winning shot on the 7th hole was 11’3”.  Congratulations, Rick!  Rick donated the gift card back to the Centre to purchase furnishings for the new Children’s Centre.

8th hole - Gary Green won a $50 gift certificate donated by L & P Saw Shop a $10 Barnes & Noble gift certificate dontated by GSU Bookstore.  His winning shot on the 8th hole was 52’8”.  Congratulations, Gary.

9th hole - Dan McGuire won a $100 gift card donated by Coastal Chemical Company. His winning shot on the 9th hole was 33’3”.  Dan was the only contestant to hit the green this year.  No one has hit this green in three of the past five years.  Congratulations, Dan!

10th hole - Brian Hilton won a $40 gift certificate donated by the Keg and a $10 Barnes & Noble gift certificate donated by the GSU Bookstore.  His winning shot on the 10th hole was 18’6” just edging out Wayne Brooks shot of 18’8”.  Congratulations, Brian!

11th hole - Rick Emerson receives a $50 gift card donated by Arcadia Hardware.  His winning shot on the 11th hole was 79’7”.  Congratulations, Rick!  Rick donated the gift card back to the Centre to purchase furnishings for the new Children’s Centre.

12th hole – Doyle Brown won the 12th hole.  Congratulations, Doyle!

13th hole - Wayne Brooks won the 13th hole.  He received a $50 gift certificate from Champion Trophies and a $10 gift certificate from GSU bookstore. 

14th hole - Rick Emerson receives a $50 gift card donated by Regional Consulting Services.  His winning shot on the 14th hole was 7’11”.  Congratulations, Rick!  Rick donated the gift card back to the Centre to purchase furnishings for the new Children’s Centre.

15th hole – Larry Popp receives a gift box from The Peach Store, a gift certificate for two free dinners at Captain D’s and a $25 gift certificate from Super One for winning the 15th hole.  His winning shot was 16’7”.  Congratulations, Larry!

16th hole – No one was able to put a ball on the 16th green this year.  There is always next year!!

17th hole - Dan McGuire receives a framed print donated by The Frame Up.  His winning shot on the 17th hole was 38’3”.  This was the first time someone has succeeded in hitting this green in four years.  Congratulations, Dan!

18th hole - Brian Hilton receives a framed print donated by The Frame Up.  His winning shot on the 18th hole was 68’.  Congratulations, Brian!

19th hole - Charles Fuller won a $50 gift card donated by Robert Temple State Farm Insurance.  His winning shot on the 19th hole was 11’.  Congratulations, Charlie

20th hole - Rick Emerson receives a $150 gift card donated by Log Cabin restaurant.  His winning shot on the 20th hole was 20’5”.  Congratulations, Rick!  Rick donated the gift card back to the Centre to purchase furnishings for the new Children’s Centre.

21st hole - Jesse Smith receives a $150 gift card donated by Ponchatoulas restaurant.  His winning shot on the 21st hole was 50’9”.  Congratulations, Jesse!

22nd & 23rd hole – There were no winners for these holes this year.  

24th hole - Jesse Smith receives a $50 gift certificate donated by L P Saw Shop and 2 free passes donated by Celebrity Theatre.  His winning shot on the 24th hole was 8’1”.  Congratulations, Jesse!

25th hole - Chad Townsend receives a $50 gift card donated by Dowling’s Smokehouse.  His winning shot on the 25th hole was 5’6”.  Congratulations, Chad!

26th hole - Larry Popp won a $50 gift certificate donated by L P Saw Shop and a gift certificate for a tire rotation from Walpole Tire.  His winning shot on the 26th hole was 61’9”.  Congratulations, Larry!

27th hole - Ryan Christ won a $100 gift card donated by District Attorney Bob Levy.  His winning shot on the 27th hole was 17’2”.  Congratulations, Ryan!
